Bad day!

I didn't have such a good day. Then one person encouraged me to put my eyes on my walk with God. He encouraged me to keep going, and dont give up because God is my everything! I thought this was definately blog material! Tehe :)

Garett Ellenberger told me this:
"Don't stop to tie your shoe,
don't run ahead with plans for yourself,
and don't fall behind
because you're going to miss out
on what God has in plan for you.
Just walk with God.
Even if you are starving and you see that juicy steak.
because God will fill you up with everything
because he is your everything
---------------------------------------------------------
Then I found this verse that enlightens us as Christians to walk with God.
Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD,
and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:) God shows up in the weirdest way sometimes! Today, God talked to me through another believer. To me that is amazing because it was the right thing when I needed to hear it. Today wasn't so bad after all, I have God by my side :)

Reality - the root word is real. REAL. I dont want to be fake, but REAL. Because life is reality. So many times I get wrapped up into the things of this world and whats going on that I forget about reality. Life is the real deal, you only get one life.

Recently I've been reminded who I am living for, not me but for God. I abosolutely LOVE GOD, and love what he is doing in my life, but its hard to think to give him control of my life when its my life. I've had this oppinon for so long even after I had devoted my life to Christ. I just keep questioning, am I willing to give EVERYTHING to him? Is this possible even though I am a selfish human?

Taking this from the beginning of creation, Genesis, God tells us that we are made in his image. God gave us life! God spoke to me when reading genesis... Yes it's my life, but it's a gift from God! He gave us the breath of life.

In Titus 2:11-14 the Word informs that we are to live in devotion to God, turn from wickedness and to live in the world with wisdom. Be wise, and live in the reality of the evil world. Its reality, God is our creator, he gave us life and he calls us to live for him!

Titus 2:11-14 (New Living Translation)
11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

The sunrise over the ocean...

This morning I woke up knowing that it is a new day with things in store for me, but I wasn't looking forward to going to school. I had a test to take today and many assignments to hand in.
I asked myself, "What is in store for me today?"I began to worry about the test, and scramble around in the morning to make sure I had everything. I rushed out the door and began my day, without thanking God for the new day, or what he has in store for me.
Once I got to my first class and turned in my first assignment I realized I hadn't stop to pray that morning, and I felt awful about it. My test was two classes away and my anxiety distracted me from my class work. I felt guilty for not praying and had all this anxiety about my test!
I kept asking and worrying over what was in store for me, what is on the test... when God already had it planned out. I asked "What is in store for me." insted of "What does God have in store for me?"
He planned this exact day before I was even in my mothers womb. I needed to cast my anxiety and worries on God, because he cares for me! (1 Peter 5:7)
I realized before I took my test that as long as I pray to him weither in the morning, or in the afternoon I am still connecting with Him. So I prayed before my test asking God to help me to remember what I had studied, and to take this anxiety away. As soon as I said amen I felt the pressure off my shoulders and realized I can take this test, because God has so much in store for me today! Good things, wonderful things. He has me taking this test to get the education I need so I can do what he has planned for me in the future. I knew that the day would get better and that I could get through it because through Christ all things are possible (Philipians 3:14)

Even though something like a test shouldn't be that stressful, I made it to be more stressful than a test really should be. Knowing that God is with you and you can come to him no matter what state you are in gives you the peace and encouragement to move on. What Does God have in store for you and me tomorrow?
